I am a portrait photographer from the ‘old schoolʼ - someone who grew up learning about the masters of light, studying my craft in darkrooms and by manually exposing film, using medium format cameras, light meters, and developing a real feel for what makes a picture come alive.
I spent six years as the in-house photographer and studio manager for Toni & Guy at their head office in Central London, where I found myself travelling extensively throughout Europe and the US working with an outstanding team of hairdressers, make-up artists and fashion stylists.

I shot numerous hair & fashion collections as well as documenting large shows both on-stage and backstage. This culminated in me shooting three winning collections and placing an unprecedented 21 finalists in the British Hairdressing Awards (the 'Oscars' of Hairdressing).
I followed my heart and moved from the other side of the world to my new home, Australia.
I carried on shooting fashion collections and working for independent clothing labels, boutique salons, amongst others.
Soon after I had my first child my passion for portraiture was reignited, but in a different, more evocative, loving, caring and paternal way.
I found myself being drawn to photography expressing something true, memorable and lasting without so much hair, make up and digital trickery.
My own children rekindled that love of capturing ‘realʼ people, for ‘realʼ meaning and purpose. Itʼs why I also delight in being involved in shooting couples and families life events. I am a social documentorist who knows and feels the true love of family; a lifestyle photographer with extensive professional experience of fashion, lighting, and style; an event photographer who knows how to make reportage that communicates feelings, memories, character and joy.
I am available for beautiful family shoots, as well as well as lifestyle images for independent businesses, entrepreneurs and artisans, especially in the rural community as well as a limited number of engagement shoots and individual model portfolios...
